Truck accident responsibility
Truck accidents happen every day in Florida. Having an accident with an 18-wheeler can cause serious injury and sometimes death. A passenger vehicle has little chance of survival against a fully loaded 18-wheeler.
Under Federal Law, Title 49, Chapter III, “the liability of the trucking company is statutory in addition to general common law”. Under the Respondeat Superior doctrine, truck companies are accountable to Florida residents when the truck driver is at fault.
My advice to anyone involved in a trucking accident is to contact a Truck Accident attorney. He or she will know how to handle truck drivers and/or trucking companies and get you the compensation you deserve.
