Successes:Successful Outcome for Woman who Died from Second, Third and Fourth Degree Burns
Elder Abuse attorney Stephen M. Garcia obtained a favorable outcome for an 87-year-old woman who died of burn injuries in an unexplained fire in a nursing home. The family was notified by the police that their mother had been lit on fire by either her suicide attempt or by another person.
The woman, who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, received second, third, and fourth degree burns over her back, buttocks, and pelvic areas, and she had an unexplained laceration and bruises on her forehead. The woman died three days after the fire.
