Archives, Trucking Accidents

The railroad crossing at Paul Buchman Highway in Hillsborough was the scene of a truck and train collision during nighttime rush-hour traffic.  The train crashed into the center of the semi-truck, which was hauling chicken manure.

The semi-truck driver, suffered chest pains and was taken to a hospital in Zephyrhills.  He said the tracks did not have any railroad crossing arms and when he tried to cross, he did not notice the train approaching. The accident is being investigated.
