School bus crash in Georgia
Florida was not the only state to report a school bus crash this month; The State of Georgia was also the scene of one. Investigators in Temple, Georgia are trying to determine what caused a school bus to run off the road into a ditch. The bus overturned, killed a student and injured 13 others. The injured children were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The bus driver was a trainee being taught by an experienced driver on board with him.
Georgia State Patrol had the unfortunate situation of declaring a 17-year old student dead at the scene when he was pinned under the bus and could not escape. A pastor on the same road witnessed the accident and offered his help.
The accident is under investigation. My thoughts are with the family of this young student who died tragically.
