Daily Journal Recognizes Garcia, Artigliere & Medby As Top Boutique Firm in California
In a special issue, Daily Journal recognized Garcia, Artigliere & Medby for its “complex and egregious cases of elder neglect and mistreatment in the nation”. Garcia, Artigliere & Medby was one of 25 firms throughout California to be recognized.
Since the firm’s launch in 1991, Garcia, Artigliere & Medby has secured numerous victories on behalf of their clients in elder abuse, nursing home abuse, truck accidents and wrongful death matters. In the Daily Journal feature, partner Stephen Garcia discussed the current class-action lawsuit he is representing against the owner of 57 skilled nursing facilities throughout California for fraud, unfair business practices and misrepresentation of the quality of care.
Additionally, the firm is also working on a case involving a hospital in Palmdale and its mistreatment of the elderly. The firm has noticed a rising level of abuse in acute care hospitals, causing them to shift their attention to cases that involve the short-term mistreatment of patients with serious illness and medical conditions.
Mr. Garcia said his firm is pursuing twice as many cases as any other time during his career. “Because we have so much experience, we have absolutely no fear of taking them to trial any day of the week,” said Stephen Garcia, who has more than 20 years of experience representing elders. “We are going to continue to grow as long as the problem exists…We’ve been able to be a loud voice for those voices that should be heard, especially for a particular vulnerable part of our population.”
