Garcia & Artigliere, Nationally-Recognized Nursing Home Abuse Law Firm, Represents Victim of Negligence at Glenwood Care Center
LONG BEACH, California – At Garcia & Artigliere, skilled elder and nursing home abuse attorneys apply over 100 years of combined experience to pursue justice for victims of negligence. Recently, the firm has taken on the case of Mr. Clarence Sloan Jr. and his wife Pamela Sloan, in a nursing home abuse lawsuit against Glenwood Care Center, also known as C. Street Health Associates LLC.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed with the Superior Court of the State of California in Ventura County earlier this month, Mr. Sloan suffered serious and painful injuries at the hands of negligent staff during his stay at Glenwood Care Center.
Citing an incident where a staff physical therapist recommended the MegaPulse II Short Wave Diathermy heating device to ease Mr. Sloan’s muscle pain, the filing alleges that the physical therapist did not take his lower body injuries into proper consideration. As a result, Mr. Sloan suffered from second- and third-degree burns, due to overexposure to the MegaPulse II Short Wave.
To make matters worse, the Glenwood Care Center administrator refused to admit any responsibility for these serious injuries, and withheld appropriate wound care from Mr. Sloan. This act of negligence has severely impacted his health and caused significant pain and suffering.
With the legal representation of Garcia & Artigliere, Mr. Sloan and his wife are suing Glenwood Care Center for elder abuse, negligent hiring and supervision, and loss of consortium, and the requested damages include punitive and exemplary action. If any individuals have been affected by negligence at Glenwood Care Center or other facilities under C. Street Health Associates LLC., the team at Garcia & Artigliere invites them to come forward and seek counsel.
