FMCSA Proposal Would Extend Deadline for Keeping Med Certificate Record

According to the proposed rule published in Tuesday’s Federal Register, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will keep in effect until Jan. 30, 2014, the requirement that CDL holders keep a paper copy of the medical examiner’s certificate. Interstate motor carriers also would be required to retain a copy of the medical certificate in the driver’s qualification files. Continue reading →
