School Bus Collision in Jacksonville

Garcia & Artigliere

It was reported that a man driving a Toyota crashed into the back of a school bus when it was stopped for student pickup, injuring an adult and two students. A student getting on the bus was hit by the bus door when the impact occurred.

The two students suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary matter. The driver of the car, however, was in critical condition and also taken to the hospital.

Rear-end accidents happen every day in Florida cities. Florida Statutes, Section 316.0895—following too closely states, “The driver of a motor vehicle shall not follow too closely to another motor vehicle than is reasonable and prudent.” Florida law presumes that the driver who rear-ended the other vehicle is at fault unless proven otherwise. Remember when on the road that inattentive and careless drivers causes rear-end accidents. If you are involved in one, it would be best to get advice from an experienced Florida Truck Accident attorney who will investigate the accident for you.
