The Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner announced that the order relaxing trucking restrictions which was supposed to expire on December 31, 2010, has been extended for one week. This order allows farmers to transport freeze/vulnerable crops. The extra week will give them time to continue harvesting and transporting the affected crops to facilities before they deteriorate.
Trucking companies that represent Florida’s agricultural producers have been alerted of this decision so they can load and transport crops.
