David M. Medby
David M. Medby has specialized in civil trial practice, with an emphasis in elder and dependent adult abuse advocacy, since graduating from law school and passing the California Bar in December 2003. Mr. Medby was also involved advocacy on behalf of California's consumers prior to being admitted to the bar as a law clerk for the nationally renowned law firm of Wilkes & McHugh, P.A.
Mr. Medby has been involved in the successful litigation of in excess of 60 elder and dependent adult abuse cases leading to awards to his clients of over $20 million. Mr. Medby was recenly appointed class counsel in a certifed California class action against Longwood Management company and its numerous skilled nursing facilities, which led to injunctive relief and economic recovery for over 22,000 elder and infirm California residents. Mr. Medby has also been involved in litigation on behalf of California and nation wide consumers against such entities as Washington Mutual Bank, Transamerica Corporation, The Department of Water and Power, Sony, Apple Computers, AT&T, and United Airlines to name but a few.
