David A. Ring

David A. Ring has litigated in California state and federal courts for most of his legal career. Mr. Ring graduated from Whittier Law School as the class valedictorian in June 1994 and passed the California bar exam that same year. In 1995, Mr. Ring received his LL.M. (with distinction) from the University of Washington School of Law, and his masters thesis was published in the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law.

After joining the Washington bar and practicing personal injury and workers compensation law in the Seattle area, Mr. Ring returned to Southern California in 1997 to become an insurance defense litigator with the law firm of Demler, Armstrong & Rowland. Highlights of Mr. Ring's time with the Demler firm included a defense verdict and a $900,000 counterclaim verdict in Dunham v. 20th Century, an earthquake bad faith case.

In July 2000, Mr. Ring joined the international law firm of Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold LLP. There he expanded his practice to include coverage advice and nationwide litigation concerning fidelity, commercial crime, directors and officers liability and professional liability insurance. During his tenure with Sedgwick, Mr. Ring also authored, co-authored and contributed to articles and chapters in a variety of legal trade publications.
