A man in a wheelchair crossing a street in Hialeah in mid-morning recently was hit by a tractor-trailer. The man was dragged about 500 feet when he became pinned to the front of the truck. Before an emergency team could get the man to a hospital, he died.
The police are investigating this fatal accident; they have not filed charges against the truck driver. I would advise the trucker to seek the help of an experienced Truck Accident Attorney. This was a tragic accident and my condolences go out to the family of the man who died. His name was not released pending notification of his family.
